Fellow Cavaliers,
Due to our ongoing bus driver shortage -- we have an injured driver who cannot drive tomorrow -- students riding the GREEN bus will not be picked up in the AM or dropped off in the PM tomorrow (Friday, March 3). We apologize for the inconvenience. Please contact our offices if you or anyone you know is interested in becoming a permanent or substitute bus driver.
Mr. Fattal

Fellow Cavaliers,
After the Mother-Son Dance last night (Feb. 28), it was discovered that someone may have accidentally taken the wrong coat home (a green camo jacket). It has items that are desperately needed for the owner in the pockets. Please call (989) 743-6338 if you mistakenly took the jacket. Thanks!

Corunna Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, February 23, due to road conditions and the impact of the ongoing winter storm. Childcare will also be closed. Again, Corunna Public Schools will be closed Thursday, February 23.

Corunna Public Schools will be closed Wednesday, February 22. Childcare will also be closed. Please take necessary precautions in lieu of the impending storm. Again, Corunna Public Schools will be closed Wednesday, February 22.

Fellow Cavaliers,
We had an emergency with two of our bus drivers today. As a result, we have no choice at this time but to do the following:
1. Green bus – no secondary/elementary runs this afternoon (February 20) and no pickup/drop off for tomorrow (February 21) for secondary/elementary runs.
2. Brown bus – no pick up or drop off tomorrow (February 21) for secondary and elementary runs.
We do have a new bus driver who is in the process of completing the paperwork to be hired as a full-time driver. If you know anyone else who would like to drive a bus, please get in touch with us at (989) 743-6338.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
Mr. Fattal

Good morning,
You may already be aware of a rumor at Okemos High School and Jackson High School earlier this morning. Shiawassee County Sheriff's Office Homeland Security and Emergency Management expert Jeff Weiss indicated it was a fake caller; a “swatting” call.
As you know, all of our buildings have secure entrances and all visitors are screened before entering the building.
Respectfully,
Superintendent John Fattal

Corunna Public Schools will be closed today, Monday, January 30, because of slippery and unplowed back roads. Child care will be closed. Again, Corunna Public Schools will be closed today, Monday, January 30.

Corunna Public Schools will be closed today, Wednesday, January 25 based on the winter weather advisory in effect from 7 a.m. - 10 p.m., and the predicted road conditions throughout the school day, especially at dismissal time. Child care will also be closed. Be safe!

Fellow Cavaliers,
Late this afternoon, we were informed of a rumor regarding an alleged threat at the middle school.
CMS administration, our Head of Security, and the City of Corunna police department have investigated it and found there was no threat.
Sincerely,
Superintendent John Fattal
