The 1999 Corunna Boys Track and Field Team secured the Class B State Championship with 45 points at the state meet completing back to back efforts with the 1998 team! They captured state titles in both the 4x800 and 4x400 relays, while earning All-State honors in 6 events. The team also triumphed as Regional and undefeated Conference Champions under the leadership of Head Coach Gordie Aldrich, and Assistant Coaches Steve Herrick and Jeff McDonald.

Stanley Bocek, a 1942 graduate, was a standout athlete who earned 8 varsity letters - 4 each in football and track. He served as President of the Varsity Club and excelled in football as a 4-year player, earning All-League Fullback honors in 1941 and contributing to league championship teams in 1938 and 1939.
In track, Bocek was a 4-time state qualifier and a 3-time Class C State Champion in shot put, setting a state record of 49’ 2” in 1941. He won state titles in 1940, 1941, and 1942, and held the school record in shot put at 50'10.5” for several years. He was one of only 9 boys in state history to win 3 state titles in the shot put. His track team won the 1941 regional championship and placed 5th in the state.
After graduation, he was recruited by Michigan State University for track, but he returned home to work on the family farm when his three older brothers left for military service.

The 1998 Boys Track & Field Team had a remarkable season, winning the Class B State Championship! They achieved All-State performances in 11 events. The Cavs won Regionals and the MITCA State Championship led by Coach Chris Curtiss and Assistants Steve Herrick & Gordie Aldrich.

The 1966 Corunna Football team had an outstanding 9-0 undefeated season. They dominated their opponents, outscoring them by a massive 292-40 margin! The team was led by Corunna Hall Fame Head Coach Nick Annese and Assistant Coaches Matt Rumisek, Keith Elkins, and Jeff Hudson.

Good luck to all our Cavaliers competing today! Let's go Cavs! #Gr82bGOLD
