Kari Carnell has been named November Employee of the Month. She earned her teaching degree from Aquinas College. She was hired in September of 2010 as a middle school physical education teacher.
“I am so honored to be the Employee of the Month. Corunna holds a special place in my heart and I love how much of a family atmosphere we have here. People here truly care about one another and it’s a great place to work every day,” said Kari.
“I believe that one thing that sets Corunna apart from other districts is that we have so much pride in what we do here,” said Kari.
“I have two things on my bucket list,” Kari said, “To win a volleyball state championship and travel to Greece.”
“One person that most positively influenced me is my grandpa. He encouraged me and helped me create experiences in my life that I might not have gotten,” said Kari.
Kari said, “Something that would surprise you to learn about me is that I completed my first (and last) 50k race a year ago.”
“I enjoy coaching and playing volleyball, going to the beach, and staying active,” said Kari.
