Kari Carnell has been named November Employee of the Month. Kari was honored during the November 18 Board of Education meeting held at Corunna High School. Kari was hired in September of 2010 as a physical education teacher at Corunna Middle School.
“I am so honored to be the Employee of the Month. Corunna holds a special place in my heart and I love how much of a family atmosphere we have. People at Corunna Public Schools truly care about one another and it’s a great place to work every day,” said Kari.
Kari is also the Corunna High School varsity volleyball coach. As a coach, she has lead her teams to 4 straight conference championships, 5 district championships, 3 regional championships and have had 1 final four appearance. Kari’s overall coaching record at Corunna is 275-136-34. She was also named the 2018 Regional Coach of the Year and the 2019 Metro Stars Division Coach of the Year.
