Tammy Richardson-December Employee of the Month

Tammy Richardson is an office manager at Corunna High School.  She began working at CHS and  in the athletic department December of 2017. Tammy was first hired by the district in May of 2013 as a substitute paraprofessional.

“I am so honored to have been selected to be this month’s Employee of the Month.  Corunna has been my home all of my life.  I attended Corunna from kindergarten through 12th grade, graduating in 1988.  I have one brother who also attended Corunna and graduated in 1984.  I hold Corunna near and dear to my heart and am so proud to be a part of this amazing school district. I am very lucky to be working with so many great people at the high school, especially our Athletic Director, Jason Beldyga.  He is one of the hardest working people I have ever met.  His #1 priority is the students and making Corunna athletics the best they can be.  I have truly enjoyed assisting him with the many projects he has done this year, and look forward to what is yet to come,” said Tammy.

“One thing that I believe sets Corunna apart from other districts is definitely our pride and community support.  I am always so proud to go to sporting events and other activities and see the support of our community. It is unlike any other district,” said Tammy.

“I have two things on my bucket list,” Tammy said, “Go to Pasadena, CA to see the Rose Parade, and to win big money on the Price is Right!”

Tammy said, “You might be surprised to know that I am a huge Disney fan! I love Star Wars and can’t wait for December 20th to watch the next movie!”

“I have been married to my husband, Bob, for 27 years and we have three children.  Josh graduated in 2017, and is currently attending Eastern Michigan University.  Nicholas is a senior and after graduation will be attending a missionary training school called Ethnos 360 Bible Institute.  Finally, Katie is a sophomore and she stays busy with dance, girls varsity swim, bowling and tennis,” said Tammy.

“My parents, Larry and Rita Little have definitely influenced my life the most.  I have never met two people who give so much time and love to everybody and everyone! They have taught me how to keep my head up through the good times and bad times, and to always do your very best at whatever you do in life, and to always be kind.  I am who I am today, because of them,” said Tammy.
