Robotics Presents Before Board of Education

Both teams, Codebreakers and Robotic Walkers gave presentations to the Board of Education on Monday, December 16.  They shared their experiences at their recent competition and also their trophies were on display!

On Saturday, Nov.  23, First Lego League Jr.  team, Robot Walkers, participated  in  the Bulldog Classic competition  at Kettering University. The Boomtown build challenge required students to use Legos to design a handicapped accessible, environmentally friendly, and durable building. Students were required to build a motorized elevator and use the We Do software to program the elevator. The team won the Innovative Programming Award. Each team member received a medal and the team received a trophy. The team consisted of six third grade students: Owen Chapman,  Lucas  Talamantez,  Zvannah  Blasdell,   Cassidy Braid,  Asher Nellis and Korbin Potter. Tami Basso is the coach.

Team Codebreakers (4th-6th grade students)  also attended the competition at Kettering University and placed first in the Innovation Project Presentation. Team members are Elliott Carr, Nolan Carr, Dylan Challenger, Emma Combs, Ben Feldpausch, Robbie Jackson, Ben Justice, Colton Moses, Harvey Rivette, Gavin Schuetz, Ben Scott, and Travis Wachowicz Middle School coaches are Andrew Hudson and Brandon Wagner.  Four main areas of the competition were Robot Game, Core Values, Robot Design, and Innovation Project.
