In celebration of our Homecoming week, we are having fun and dressing up! It is the same designations district wide.

🚨 Michigan still does not have a finalized K-12 budget. Without one, schools like ours risk missing critical funding this fall—resources we count on for teachers, buses, programs, and school safety.
I’ve shared more details in my recent posts. Please take a moment to read them and see why timely, protected school funding is so important for our students.

This fall, our Corunna art students will be teaming up with Supercone for an exciting community mural project! Together, our advanced high school art students and middle school buddies will transform Supercone’s fence and outdoor tables into colorful works of art.
Supercone is generously providing all the paint, and our students will bring their own brushes and creativity. Designs will be developed in class, with high school students sketching outlines and middle schoolers adding their ideas to the final plan. On mural day, teams of students will work side by side to paint their section of the fence or table, creating a vibrant display that showcases both talent and teamwork.
We are especially proud that this project has been designed to include all students, with aides and support staff ensuring every child has the opportunity to participate. This collaboration is not only a wonderful learning experience but also a chance to strengthen the bond between our schools and local businesses.
It’s a true win-win: students get to share their creativity with the community, and Corunna gains another reason to be proud of its Cavaliers!

We are excited to introduce some new faces and new roles to the Elsa Meyer Staff! Mrs. Kiesling has been a beloved teacher at Elsa Meyer for years. She has graciously stepped into the role of Principal at Elsa Meyer starting this year. Mrs. Regan has moved into several new roles at Corunna Middle School within the classroom and with our District Technology needs, we have been so thankful for her strength and leadership over the last several years . We also have Ms. Lumsden stepping into the role of Vice Principal. She is new to this role but not new to this district. She is a Corunna alumnus. We are excited to welcome her home. Mr. Beldyga has moved back into the classroom as well as taken over the leadership role with our Corunna Football Program. Please be on the lookout for Mrs. Kiesling and Ms. Lumsden and welcome them! We are so excited and feel confident in their leadership moving forward! IT'S GREAT TO BE GOLD!

Good afternoon! Here's a link to the first Digital Communicator of the 2025-2026 school year!
