Today in Mrs. Princinsky's class they studied snowflake science. They went outside with a portable microscope to see snowflakes up close and discuss their shape, size and make up. Then they came inside and worked on making their own snowflakes out of paper! They had a great time!

We had an incredible experience making fresh bread from scratch with our entire Kindergarten class! Parents were invited in to help the kiddos with the steps. The National Honors Society high school kids came over to offer assistance. Our fabulous kitchen staff is baking them all. What a great way to start the Thanksgiving week!

At Elsa Meyer, we are raising money to help feed those in need! We are also collecting approved, non-expired food (see the list in our last newsletter) In order to be as helpful as we can, we are rewarding the grade who raises the most money/items with a special pajama day! The kids are loving being big helpers and showing kindness!

Today was a celebration!!! At Elsa Meyer we have CAV cards. When a student makes a really good choice by working hard at their school work, by helping a friend or being an exemplary example, they earn a CAV card. When we get to a certain level in our CAV box, we earn an assembly and we do something fun. Our first goal was met earlier this week and our students got to duct tape our wonderful principal to the wall! They thought it was hilarious and the whole school was filled with laughter and excitement! We have amazing students at Elsa Meyer and we are so proud of them! Keep it up CAVS!
