Students in Kelly Iott’s fourth grade classroom are shown with their group’s erosion experiment. Students were in the process of studying the effects of weathering on their “mountain” of dirt. The young observers drew “before” and “after” pictures to help document the short and long-term results of weathering caused by wind and water. They also developed a hypothesis for their science experiment before conducting it and will then look at their results and compare it to their hypothesis.
