Last Friday, our 4th graders swapped the classroom for the great outdoors at Sleepy Hollow State Park!
Through the Michigan DNR's Nature Awaits program, our students became real-life scientists and wildlife observers for the day.
Armed with binoculars and a lot of curiosity, they hit the trails to spot local wildlife, explore ecosystems, and learn firsthand how interconnected our natural world is.
Every student came home with a special Nature Awaits drawstring bag, a Junior Ranger workbook, and a shiny new badge.
Inside their Junior Ranger activity book, you’ll find a free family park voucher! This pass lets your whole family visit any Michigan state park or recreation area for free. Let your 4th grader guide your next weekend adventure and show you what they learned!
