Tonight is the Night!
Class of 2024 Senior Banners are scheduled to be taken down later this month from the lamp posts in Corunna. The Corunna Rotary Club is responsible for putting together a work crew to put up and take down the banners each year. This year, they are looking for community volunteers to help to take the banners down, beginning 4 p.m. August 12. If you are the parent of a 2024 graduate, we would love for you to help take the banners down. You may then take your child’s banner home after the work session. Any amount of time you can volunteer would be greatly appreciated.
Takedown usually takes a couple of hours. If you are unable to help on the 12th to take banners down, banners will be available for pickup after the 12th at Corunna High School, in the main office, during normal business hours.
The Corunna Department of Public Works will begin removing banners on West Corunna Avenue prior to August 12th. As well, those banners will be available at Corunna High School after August 12
If you would like to help, simply report to the Community Center (located in McCurdy Park) at 4 p.m. on Monday, August 12. Eight-foot stepladders are also welcomed. For more information, please contact Rotary President Barb Holland at lamphere@shianet.org or call the Corunna Public Schools’ administrative office at (989) 743-6338.
