CHS Battle of the Books for March is Reading Month Today's results.... The second match up went the more experienced team, which was Mrs. Murphy's Student Council against Mr. Keisling's FFA. A great effort was made, but the Student Council advanced to the quarter finals.

The Corunna Band Boosters are proud to host its 3rd annual “Jazz Night” fundraiser. Join us for an evening of food, fun and entertainment featuring our Corunna High School Jazz Band. Tickets include a delicious Czech chicken dinner, beverages, music and dancing. Also for purchase will be a dessert bar, 50/50 tickets and silent auction items. Tickets are $30 per person, ages 10-6 are $15 each and 5 & under are free. Want to be guaranteed a table close to the dance floor? Girls on the Run Girls on the Run has started once again at Elsa Meyer Elementary. Twenty-one girls were welcomed this year by coaches Kelly Fry, Katie Chunko, Cindy Richmond, and Kellie VanderMolen. The 10-week program helps girls build confidence for life. In May they will run a 5K on the MSU campus to finish the season.

March is Reading Month There are activities and special opportunities to read during the month of March in all buildings. These students are in the second grade classroom of Mrs. Fry at Elsa Meyer Elementary.

Corunna Robotics (Fridgebot Robotics Team 5084) Robotics went to Kettering University to compete last week. They ended up finishing 5th in qualification matches out of 40 teams. They were captain of the 4th alliance, went undefeated to the finals in playoffs, beat the two top teams of the entire competition (alliance 1), finished runner up in playoffs, and were awarded the Judge's Award for standing out. All in all, a successful start to the season! They now have their sights set on the next competition in Midland.

Students that will be 5 years old by December 1, 2024 will be eligible to participate. Please pick up an enrollment packet at any Corunna school location. Detailed kindergarten registration information will be found with the packet including how to sign up for our evening new kindergarten student event on March 14th.
