Nearly 1 in 110 babies are born with congenital heart disease, making it the No. 1 birth defect in the country. Its diagnosis requires lifelong care. We have students affected by this disease here in our own Cavalier family. To show our support to these Heart Warriors, we will be wearing red on Wednesday, February 14, and will be accepting donations that will be given to the Congenital Heart Center at the University of Michigan Health C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital to help fund important research, drive the development of new technologies and therapies, and provide social work and support programs for families. Donations will be accepted Monday, February 5 through Wednesday, February 14. For a $5.00 donation, students will receive a rubber bracelet and a string backpack. Here is an update on tonight's events: - Our Daddy/Daughter dance will go on as planned. - Voluntary varsity practices will be allowed between 3 and 7 p.m. - Tonight's away swim meet has been canceled by opposing teams. - Heavenly Tumbles is canceled for tonight as well.

Corunna Public Schools will be closed today, Tuesday, January 23, because of icy roads and poor driving conditions. Child care will also be closed. At noon, a decision will be made regarding evening activities, including the Daddy/Daughter dance. Stay safe, & have a great day!
