This is the final week to buy your CHS yearbook for $60 + tax ($63.60). See Mrs. Hilewsky in room 112 to order your yearbook with cash or a check made payable to Corunna High School by Friday, September 30. Stephanie Romanick was recognized by the Board of Education for being named the September Employee of the Month. Stephanie is the Director of Dining Services for the District. One more reason why it is Great to be Gold!

Congratulations to Jack Challender! Jack was recognized by the Board of Education on September 19 for receiving a "5" on the 2021-2022 World History College Board Advance Placement Exam.

Stephanie Romanick is the Director of Dining Service here at Corunna. “Although, I have not been in Corunna long, it’s a place that feels like home. Everyone here takes pride in their jobs and providing the best experience for the kids. I will be celebrating my 2-year anniversary at Corunna next month and I hope to be a part of this district for a long time,” said Stephanie. “Somethings that may surprise your about me is that I was an All-State Bowler in high school and was named All-Conference for three years,” said Stephanie. Stephanie said, “My favorite best day was my wedding day-9/11/2021”. “I have three things on my bucket list, travel to Hawaii, take an Alaskan cruise, and take a hot air balloon ride”, said Stephanie. Stephanie said, “I will always remember receiving this award. It means so much to me, but also purchasing new equipment for the kitchens and seeing the excitement on the faces of the food service staff.” “This community truly feels like a family and I know I am supported here, and that sets Corunna apart from other districts,” said Stephanie. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys reading, workout classes, trying new restaurants, and traveling. Stephanie is pictured during the September 7 Community Breakfast.

Duane Ash Memorial Golf Outing Saturday, September 10 Corunna Hills Golf Course $55 individual/$220 team 9 holes-9:00 a.m. start Duane was a teacher, coach and administrator at Corunna Public Schools for many years. He was a member of the Corunna Rotary, serving several officer positions. He served as the Treasurer of the Corunna Education Foundation enhancing the educational opportunities for students of the Corunna Public Schools. Just imagine for a moment the lives he touched, influenced and improved by his unwavering dedication to the Corunna Public Schools and to our community. Countless students, staff members, parents and community members knew Duane and his work. If small towns recognized local heroes, Duane would be at the top of the list. He was the epitome of a Corunna Cavalier. His high standard of excellence and his moral character was exemplary. I hope you can join us on September 10!
